How to keep track of potential clients for FREE!
If you’re emailing a lot of people, it’s always good to organize and write down who you’ve already talked to.
Thus, creating a prospect list.
Open up a Google Sheet and label:
- who you’ve sent emails to
- who’s responded
- who’s declined
- who you’re working with
- and who you’ve followed up with
Dates with each of these is vital for management.
As you can see, I really haven’t sent too many emails since I started this sheet.
But keeping track of the dates allowed me to follow up a week, or even months later with more proof that I could do a lot for them.
Don’t stop until they say “NO”!
Often times you can get another client through one you just did work for.
After you’re done doing work for them ask if they know anybody else that might need help with your service.
Referrals are a great way to get more clients!
4. Quality over Quantity!
You DO NOT need to send 1,000 emails to find a couple clients.
Send 50 high quality emails.
Sign 5 high quality and paying clients.
The money you can make from just a few deals is a lot more than you think.
I’ve done very little outreach to find clients (as you can see).
In fact, I’m working with so little clients right now, that I don’t even use that sheet anymore.
However, when you start out, it is a great tool.
